How to Verify Your Identity

To run an account with us, you must verify your identity. Please note that the identity vetting is performed by an external company, Veriff, which reviews and certifies the authenticity of the documents you provide. Their assessment is final, and any issues identified by Veriff cannot be overridden by Nigeria Property Centre.

Please do not subscribe or pay for a plan before your identity has been verified. We do not offer refunds for payments made to us.

Identity Verification Requirements

What You Need to Provide

To verify your identity, click the green button on our verification page and submit one of the following original, physical documents:

  • International Passport
  • Driver's Licence
  • National ID Card
  • Voter's Card

(Note: If using a Voter's Card, additional supporting documents may be required.)

What We Do NOT Accept

  • NIN Slips: Digital, laminated, or otherwise
  • Any Document Not Listed Above: Please ensure you use one of the approved forms of ID.
  • Photocopies: Only original, physical IDs are acceptable.
  • Screenshots: Digital screenshots of documents are not accepted.

Important: Your submission must include a clear, well-lit, and in-focus image or video of your original ID. Blurry or poorly lit images may delay or prevent successful verification.

Common Verification Issues & How to Resolve Them

  1. Incomplete Video Submission
  • Issue: You attempted to verify your identity but did not upload a short video of yourself holding your identification.
  • Resolution: Visit How to Get Verified, complete the video step, and notify us once it’s done.
  1. Use of Inadequate or Duplicate IDs
  • Issue: A snapshot or digital duplicate of your ID was submitted.
  • Resolution: Ensure you use your original, physical ID as required. Do not submit photocopies, screenshots, or laminated documents.
  1. Unacceptable Identification Documents
  • Issue: Documents such as NIN slips or temporary digital IDs were provided.
  • Resolution: Repeat the verification process using one of the accepted documents (International Passport, Driver's Licence, National ID Card, or Voter's Card).
  1. Specific Issues with Voter's Card
  • Issue: Your voter card was declined for verification.
  • Resolution: Provide an alternative valid ID (National ID Card, Nigerian Passport, or Driver's Licence) following the guidelines on How to Get Verified.
  1. Pending Subscription Payment
  • Issue: Your subscription payment and account activation are on hold until identity verification is complete.
  • Resolution: Complete the ID verification process using one of the valid forms of ID. Once verified, your account will be activated, and your payment will be processed.

Step-by-Step Verification Process

Step 1: Initiate Your Identity Verification

Start by clicking the green verification button on our platform.

Submit Your ID:

Choose one of the accepted IDs (International Passport, Driver's Licence, National ID Card, or Voter's Card) and submit an image or video as instructed. Ensure the image is clear, well-lit, and not blurry.

Step 2: Complete the Video Verification (If Required)

Follow the Instructions:

Some verification processes require a short video of you holding your ID. Follow these guidelines closely to ensure Veriff can certify the authenticity of your submission.

Step 3: Submit Your Company Documents

Company Details:

Upload your Certificate of Incorporation or Business Name Registration Certificate. Ensure that the details are consistent with what is listed on the CAC website.

Step 4: Notify Us

Let Us Know:

After completing the steps, please notify our support team so we can review your submission. Our team, in conjunction with Veriff’s certification, will verify the details and confirm your account activation.

Successful Verification

When your identity and company documents are successfully verified:

Account Activation:

Your account will be enabled, and you can now subscribe to one of our plans. Any pending subscription payment made before your ID verification will become active.

Access to Features:

You can start using the "My Listings" menu to showcase your properties.

Important: Please do not subscribe or make payments until your identity has been verified. Our strict no-refund policy applies to subscriptions made before verification.
