How to Become a Verified Agent

The Verified Agent badge shows property seekers that we have checked your company and that it trades from the address on your profile. It builds trust, helps your listings stand out, and comes with a free business website.

Who can apply

Company verification is for Estate Agent and Developer accounts. If your account is set up as an Owner, you can change your account type in My Profile first.

Before you apply

  1. Verify your identity. This always comes first. See How to Verify Your Identity.
  2. Complete your profile. Go to My Profile and make sure your company name and full address (including the house, suite or shop number and street) are filled in and match your documents.

The documents we need

Please send one document from each list, scanned in colour.

1. Your company

  • Your original Certificate of Incorporation, or a certified true copy. Your company must appear on the CAC website with the same name, RC number and date of registration.

Business Name registrations can't be used for the Verified Agent badge. The company name should be a real estate business or a general enterprise.

2. Your address (it must match the address on your profile)

  • A utility bill from the last 3 months (for example PHCN, LAWMA or water board), showing the biller's name or logo
  • A company bank statement from the last 3 months
  • A tax document for the previous tax year
  • A land use charge from the last 12 months
  • A tenancy agreement from the last 2 years
  • A bank reference letter confirming your company name and address (contact us first for the details it should include)

Photocopies, black-and-white copies and screenshots can't be accepted.

How to send your documents

  1. Go to Account → Verification to check your identity is verified.
  2. Email your documents to support@nigeriapropertycentre.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Agent Verification Request.
  3. Our team checks your documents and emails you by the end of the week. If anything needs changing, we'll let you know exactly what to send.

What you get

  • The Verified Agent badge on your listings and your company page.
  • A free business website showing your listings, which we set up for you and send you the link.

Good to know

  • Once your company is verified, your company name and address are locked to protect your badge. If they change, email us and we'll help you update them.
  • Verification confirms your company details. It's always wise for property seekers to carry out their own checks before paying for any property.
