Why a Listing May Be Unpublished and How to Fix It
If one of your listings shows Not visible to site visitors in My Listings, the message on the listing explains why. Here are the most common reasons and what you can do.
It's waiting for review
Some listings are reviewed before they go live, and a few are randomly selected for a spot check. These usually go live within 24 hours and you don't need to do anything. See Listing Reviews and Spot Checks.
It has expired
To keep the website fresh, listings that haven't been refreshed for a while are hidden: rental listings after 1 month, and sale listings after 3 months. Listings marked as let or sold are hidden after 7 days.
To fix it: select Refresh next to the expiry message on the listing in My Listings.
Your plan has ended
When a plan ends, only the listings allowed on the free plan stay live. The rest are saved. To fix it: renew your plan. See What Happens When Your Plan Ends.
It was posted more than once
If the same property was posted again, we keep the older listing live and unpublish the newer one, and email you with the subject You have posted this property more than once. To fix it: update the original listing instead, and use a boost to move it up. See Duplicate Listings and the 2-Year Rule.
Some pictures need replacing
If pictures don't meet our guidelines we remove them and email you (Some pictures on your listing need replacing). To fix it: add new photos taken at the property. See Picture Guidelines.
It covers more than one property
We'll email you (Your listing covers more than one property) with the details we removed. To fix it: add each property as its own listing.
It's over 2 years old
Listings can be live for up to 2 years. After that you'll see This listing is over 2 years old, so it can't be republished. To fix it: if the property is still available, post it as a new listing.
